This morning after arriving at Jean Drapeau metro station (nearest to the track), I started the long walk to our grandstands. It was very crowded and took quite a while. I missed the first free practice of the day. I did see F1 cars though while I was walking. I stopped at a couple of spots but when I was so close to the tracks and the cars zooming past at great speed it was not easy on the ears!

Surprisingly as I was walking I saw the guy that was standing in front of me in line on Wednesday for Jacques' autograph session! I said hello and we chatted a bit. It was a very nice coincidence… And off I went. Continued walking until I finally reached the area of my grandstand. Was a bit early, 30 minutes left before the start of the second free practice. So I went to sit in a grass/shaded area.

45 minutes qualifying session went by really quickly! Jacques did a great lap and got provisional pole position. Everyone stood up and clapped. I wasn't expecting them to stand! It was a very loud and nice crowd reaction! I clapped and cheered Jacques on! But after everyone made their lap around the track Button was the quickest. I was happy, Button and Jacques are my 2 favorite drivers.

After going home for a short while I headed to Peel Street where it was BMW night. There would be interviews with Mark Webber and Nick Heidfeld, the two Williams BMW drivers. But after waiting 20 minutes for them to begin I had to go through a lot of other stuff before I got to hear the interviews: a talk with a marketing guy from BMW, a BMW fashion show, the unveiling of the M5 and M6 (I want the M6! It's a beautiful car.), the Junior BMW racing drivers and then finally Mark and Nick!
