28 May 2006 - Snowdonia National Park, Wales to Whitley Bay, UK

I got up really early to go walk a bit in the beautiful mountain that surrounded our hostel at the Snowdonia National Park. But it was not nearly enough time! Then we drove all the way to the other coast of the UK, to Whitley Bay, near Newcastle. There were two tourist stops along the way. The first was in Conwy to see the castle. I had fun exploring the structure, all levels from main floor to the top of the tower! There were many rooms/areas to see. I imagined myself living in this castle in the old days, it would have been a real fortress! Then the second stop was at Hadrian's Wall, a long structure that was built to keep the barbares from Scotland from going South. Quite impressive. In Newcastle, we went to a nice but expensive Italian restaurant.
