My friend's dad brought me to the Weesp train station. I bought my day return ticket to Amsterdam Centraal station. I had arranged to meet 2 Australian friends at the meeting point under the Burger King, but because of renovations, the Burger King was covered up and the meeting point displaced to the West hall. I was walking around, to see if they were somewhere in the station. I heard my name and there they were, right behind me. They recognized me thanks to the Canadian flag on my backpack. We then went to the NS office so that they could make a booking for a train later in their European journey. We then started off walking towards the museums. We walked through Damrak, the Dam (which was busy with a kermist, we had oliebollen/krentenbollen before continuing on walking. We went towards the Anne Frank house and visited it. Afterwards, we went to eat at the Pancake Bakery. I had the apple pancake, it was very tasty! Then we went on walking all the way down to Leidseplein, on the Nassaukade, until the Museumplein. We went to the Van Gogh museum. It was almost closing time though. The security guard basically kicked us out! Then we went outside to figure out what we could do. We decided to go to the Rembrandtplein to go to the Tuschinsky movie theatre. With my ISIC card, I got a student discount to see Monsters. It was not in the nice old part of the theatre though; it was in a modern part. After, we had snacks at a little restaurant near the cinema. We went back to Centraal Station and parted for the evening.
