Today, it was time to move my friend's things to his mom's and dad's house. My job was mostly to watch the rental truck while my friend and his dad transported the things from the 3 rd floor to the truck. We went to bring the things, and also to the city's garbage area in order to get rid of the refrigerator, a mattress, my friend's old baby pen and other things. It was neat because they had a section for wood, metal, wood, paper, etc. So there was an ecological way to get rid of anything. Before going to bring the truck back, e then left to go to the Hocras, a shop where they sell things in enormous packages, like Costco. My friend bought a lot of drop (Dutch candy), chips, tea and other goods that he cannot find in Canada. We also bought rookworsten (sausages for a Dutch recipe) and a poffertjespan (to make special mini-pancakes, another Dutch recipe). I let myself be tempted by a huge bucket of sour key candies and Sultana cookies (which I cannot buy in Canada). Later, we had soup and sandwiches out on the patio at my friend's dad, it was nice warm weather. We will stay at my friend's dad's house until May 4.
