Typical Dutch treats |
After sleeping in until 12h, we got up to watch the Grand Prix. It was actually not a very exciting race to watch... Afterwards, we went into town to get some krentenbollen at the kermist! I missed them so much! That is a real Dutch treat. I ate one right away. Then we walked a little around the kermist, but it was so loud that I did not want to stay too long. We ordered food (pizza for me!) and then watched Dutch television programs (Villa Rubens - people with heavy weight learn how to accept their body, Samen Wonen - two people with different taste in house decor merge together in one house with the help of design team and Peking Express - a kind of Amazing Race, but different because they were hitchhiking from one destination to another, sleeping at locals, etc.) After that, we went to organize my friend's boxes to see what he would take to Canada or leave behind. We packed two big suitcases and arranged the rest of his things in the remaining boxes.
