Yes, my friend turned 26 on this day, and I was there to celebrate with him. For his birthday, he decided to go to the Efteling, and take me, so I was happy and so was he! We left early enough to take the train, followed by a bus ride, and finally got there around 1pm.

The Efteling is a big amusement park which is usually opened in Summer time exclusively but they opened for a few weeks in Winter also. Its hard for me to explain everything we saw and did, so I'll start with the pictures and then will add a few comments. At the entrance, it was very spectacular. A big structure with these 3 peaks in the air, Christelle at the entrance (Picture 1) and my friend (Picture 2). After, I saw a huge couch, which wasn't too smooth, but very comfy anyways (Picture 3), and a huge man made out of grass (Picture 4).

We were definitely in another world when we saw these tall fairies (Pictures 5 & 6). We went into a first ride, we took a boat and went to an Arabic world, with their weird ways, saw among other things, a dentist (Picture 7). Next ride was the fairy world, a tree talking to a little man (Picture 8), little fairies in a flower world (Picture 9) and castles (Picture 10). We walked around a bit on the trails at the Efteling to see this fake snowman and the little Hansel and Gretel house in the backround (Picture 11).

I saw a nice kid's carroussel and wanted to go on it. So, I hopped on and Arnoud turned it for me to take pics (Pictures 12 & 13), and afterwards I saw a real old carroussel, with nice lights. It was so nice. I want my kids (when I have them!) to have one of those someday! Following that we went in a miniature village and saw this water wheel where my friend posed (Picture 14), and just before going, in the Magic Forrest, these little mushroom houses (Picture 15).

We also saw a skating rink inside a huge tent, there was a nice atmosphere there, and we had oliebollen once again. We tried different rides also, one where it was like a flying saucer going high in the air to give us a spectacular view on the Efteling and the cities around it. I was scared though because it was very high and I don't like heights. The next one was a room in a house that was turning a strange way. You felt like you were totally upside down but you really weren't. It was strange, but very neat.

At night, we were flicking through channels on my friend's computer tele (he's high-tech!) and I found a K's Choice live acoustic concert on TMF. So we got all comfy in bed, and watched it while cuddling, it was a very special moment. Arnoud got me into K's Choice's music, which is so beautiful, and to be able to listen to it with him, it was even better. I really liked that day, and I hope my friend (Picture 16) did also.
