On this day we went into Amsterdam for the first time. I was really impressed by everything I saw, the houses look so nice, everything's so old yet modern, it's hard to explain! I liked the city a lot.

We went to the Red Light District for a look, I saw the Coffee Shops with the odours of weed everywhere, saw the Sex Shops everywhere (so many of them, I wondered how can they stay in business!!), the prostitutes in the windows (it's nice to see them "protected", not like in Canada, where they have to be in the dangerous streets). We also walked in a few shopping streets in Amsterdam and the Magna Plaza (Picture 1).

Then, I got hungry, so we went into some Old Dutch restaurant (Picture 2). It was really nice inside. The stairs were little and very steep, the restaurant was a whole little house, 3 storeys high. We sat at the third floor. I ate some kind of Dutch thing I think, it was bread with ham and egg on it, like a sandwich ('uitsmijter'). It was good. Then we went back home after walking around a bit more.

At night, it snowed!!!!!! So we went out and walked around. For me snow is nothing big, but my friend was like a little kid, so happy to see snow, it made me happy too! We made a snowman, walked in a park... It was nice!
