My friend received tickets for the touristic canal cruise only after our exploring Amsterdam days so we had to wait till this day to go take that boat ride (Picture 1)! It was way worth the wait, I enjoyed it, we got to learn about different things I still had not seen and it was nice to do a final tour, because I was leaving and it's the last time in that city for a while.
Afterwards, we went to visit my friend's older sister (very nice person, didn't spend much time with her though!). She lives in a one room appartment like mine, but hers has more style, and I liked it more than mines!! If I'd live in Amsterdam I'd want a place just like it! My friend's older sister came with my friend and I for a little walk in the Vondelpark (Picture 2) and we went to a cafe to get a warm drink. There I also got to taste Erwtensoep (very good!), Roggebrood (ok good!). On the way to my friend's older sister's, my friend made me taste Stroopwafels too (tasty!).
After the cafe, my friend's older sister had to go because she had something planned so my friend and I went shopping, I gave him for a mission to find the perfect shirt for me. He was really working hard on it, I thought he'd never make a good choice, but he eventually did, in a place called Tintoretto in the Magna Plaza. It was nice to see he had good taste, and he chose something I loved. We went to the grocery store to get a few things and there I got to taste Haring and Kibbeling (which is cod and I already loved)!
We went home back to Hilversum, I changed to wear my new shirt, and we went to the cinema to meet Bart. He gave us a tour of the old cinema, upstairs where they have the film machines, behind the screens, etc. It was very neat. Afterwards, we went in the room to see The Family Man and we were the only ones in the room. A whole cinema room for my friend and I, my dream come true. I liked the movie. Afterwards, we went to the Cafe Dudok and had a few beers with Bart and chatted (Picture 3). He's a nice guy. Then my friend and I walked back home and went to sleep!
