Snake

I woke up around 9am and wanted to get going because it was my birthday! My friend slept in and got angry when I woke him up by accident (shower, get stuff from my bag, door). After a long time of not nice atmosphere we apologized and it was all better. Afterwards we hung out on the balcony. I wrote postcards and my friend slept/read.

We finally decided to hike up to Petri (opposite to the Petra main road, going up hill a lot!). It was very warm and tiring (more for my friend a bit) but the view on Petra was so nice form up there (especially half-way) and I was glad/proud to have made it to the top. On the way though, there was the dump. It stank a lot! There was also an Army base a bit higher, so they have a view on the mountains around, the water, etc and can react quickly against enemies. Up in Petri, we encountered with an old Greek man. He tried to talk to us, but we didn't understand a word. After a while he just walked a way.

We came back down, showered and left to go eat. On the way there on the path we saw a snake!! We ate at a tavern called Marina, on the sea-side. My friend ate a big bowl of Easter soup: drawn form lamb's head with lamb intestine and liver. The worse is that even hours after he could still taste the intestines in his mouth. Bah! The other food was yummy, and even the cats and dog wanted some! My friend game some liver to one cat which then wanted to jump on his lap. The owner forgot to charge us the mixed grill that Arnoud had but us being too honest, we told the server. We dropped back by a mini-market and walked back to Sunrise in the cold. Good night!
