Waking up to a beautiful sun made it all
better. First I took a shower while my friend warmed up in the
sun on the patio. We left to go visit Petra to buy bread and
it was a challenge: we didn't know where to go buy it! After
going into a tiiiiiiiny market we went to eat the bread on
the peer. IT was a nice sunny breakfast although a little
breeze was a bit chilly.
We came back to Sunrise to put the mattresses
outside (hopefully they wouldn't be so humid anymore!), make
phone calls before going to the Grand Café down the
street for an information meeting. We complained about the
bed & paid for 3 excursions for the week. We came back
to the apartment to try to rest but the owner called to say
he'd drop by to change the mattresses and spray to chase the
insects away. We then changed and went to get some groceries.
Since its Easter (Sunday & Monday) shops
are then closed. We had to walk back to the apartment with
heavy stuff (6 x 1 1/2 L water and food). My friend proved to
be very strong in this veryyyyyyyy warm weather. Afterwards
we went to get a taxi but we had forgotten the map at the
apartment so I ran to go get it!
The taxi got us to the Molivos castle for
5 Euros. It was a very nice castle too! We then walked all
the way down through the nice little streets. We were looking
for a bank when we saw a pharmacy where my friend could buy something
against his hay fever. We asked around to find the bank, and
some man from Niko's motor/rent a car advised us to go eat
at Gatos, a restaurant up the hill. So we went...The food
was ok; the service good and the best was the GREAT view on
Molivos' sunset & harbor.
We took a cab back home afterwards and the
driver was pretty cranky.. We bought candles & postcards
before going to Sunrise exhausted. We only had 4h of sleep
the night before, hopefully more tonight!
