Today we got up, had breakfast and got ready! We went to Labrador again, this time to L'Anse-Amour to see the lighthouse! First we took some pictures outside and the fog horn scared the heck out of us!

Then we went inside to attempt the climb! I am scared of heights. My boyfriend isn't. But he was nice with me… I went up first, he was behind me. I got almost to the top and instead of stairs in a spiral it was a ladder! I was really scared! I didn't want to go. It took me about 10 minutes to finally climb it! Then there was another one too!! I had asked my boyfriend if this ladder was the top and he had said yes! But it wasn't! Grr! The view from the complete top was pretty but I was way to scared to enjoy it!

We got back down and I was feeling better! My boyfriend choose a gift for his mom in the gift store and then we drove back to Lourdes . We had lunch, leftover couscous. And waited for the time to go see the Prime Minister of Québec. We watched the videos we had recorded up until now with my mom.

Then it was time to go to the municipal hall! As I arrived we were discussing what would be the level of security… And then as I was saying “probably not much” we arrived to the door and there was an SQ cop right there! I guess more than I thought! We got front row seats, right next to the two bodyguards. Jean Charest was late… He finally came out and made a speech announcing 100 million of dollars for a new road from Kegaska to Vieux-Fort (where the road currently stops, 1h30 or so from Blanc-Sablon).

Then we came back home and took a nap! After that my mom made dinner for us, raclette. Then my boyfriend and I went to visit a school friend of mine which just arrived back to the village that evening. We stayed there not too long and then went home to pack and get ready for the early departure next morning!
