Little Day of Work and a Tim Freedman Concert
Yesterday, I was laying in bed and at 7h15 the phone rang. It was the temp agency offering me to go in as early as possible until 1pm. So I accepted and got ready. I arrived there at 8h45, 1 hour and half later which is pretty quick I thought (even had time to buy AAA batteries at Woolworths for my CD player)! I played with the children until 10h30, then cleaned the dishes from morning tea, reheated and served lunch and prepared afternoon tea. Then it was time to go. Easy earned money. Except for the fact that I had to walk 10 minutes in the hardest rain/wind I had seen for a long while. When I arrived at the train station, I was wet from the knee down and even inside my shoes it was wet. Not too comfortable. In the city, I went to the post office. I asked how much it was to send a fax: 4,40$! Even more expensive than that business shop in Balmain... I thought to myself: NEVERMIND! I bought a few international stamps and then came home. I quickly changed into dry clothes, watched Mad About You on television (comes on weekdays at 3pm!) and then I took a nice warm shower to warm up.
