I went to see a bit of The Morning After Girls (Dome) sitting on the nice grass. Then Sarah Blasko came on (Dome). By that time it was pretty crowded! Then I went to meet with Andy at the yellow potatoe stand and I quickly got something to eat. I bought poffertjes and lemonade! I could not believe it when I saw the poffertjes stand. Poffertje is a little tiny sort of pancake made by the Dutch and it is delicious. The serving was tiny but it was worth the 10$. Then we went to see the whole 78 Saab & End Of Fashion sets (Dome). Then we had lunch. I got pizza for 5$. Then we saw a bit of Gelbision (Dome) and Rocket Science (Main). I sat on the grass for a bit at Rocket Science . I was getting tired of standing, it was around 17h by then. Then Andy watched just a bit of Spiderbait (Main) and went on to see another band but I stayed longer. I got another piece of pizza but it was not as nice (5$). Then I went to see Regurgitator (Big Top). There was another atmosphere because it was under a tent it was much darker. The energy was awesome for this band! I left a bit before the end and then saw the end of Eskimo Joe (Main), the whole of Grinspoon (Main) and Jet (Main). During Grinspoon I was pushed around and it was not very nice. They had a lot of annoying young fans. Jet was nice but they played a lot of songs I did not know! At about 22h55 it was over so I walked back to the Christmas tree on Martin Place to meet up with Andy. I walked quickly. My back was aching and legs and feet too so it felt awesome to be moving and feel the blood back moving in my whole body. It felt good to sit in the 23h20 bus back to Balmain. It felt even better to lie in bed and sleep! Over the day I saw a couple of people jumping the fence to get in, a few more being chased by security for various reasons, a few people passed out (heat or alcohol I do not know) and all the other stuff you smell and see at a music festival. Homebake was a good experience and I'd definitely go another time if I was in Oz when it was happening.
